Abstract

Studies regarding school hookup scene consistently demonstrates that it is seriously gendered and heteronormative. Notwithstanding the considerable studies on hookup community, discover limited data on how lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) children navigate hookups on college or university campuses. But queer hookups possibly incorporate a place for students to test the prominent understandings of sex and sexuality that permeate the school hookup scene, producing alternate visions based on how hookups alongside intimate affairs may go ahead. Attracting on interview with 24 LGBTQ university students at a regional college within the southeastern usa, this research investigates just how LGBTQ students negotiate the hookup scene on college campuses.
