Context when it comes down to rule reviewer: If a customer can see the framework and motivation for a change in the commit message, they won’t need to come ask you to answer for this. Or, maybe inclined than going to want to know, they’ll would a very cursory review. I really believe this is basically the primary reason behind good commit emails: they make rule studies more thorough.

We need Gerrit for signal overview, and while I’m perhaps not an enormous lover of Gerrit generally, it’s got a good function here: it allows that evaluate and touch upon the dedicate content by itself.

Once and for all records: supply regulation itself reveals that history is very important. So when you’re looking at “why on the planet did we do it by doing this?” 6 months later, good dedicate messages were priceless. Read more
